The pretty little town of Paimpol will seduce you with its small marina with a rich history, its shipowners' houses and its charming alleyways. Its pleasant quays, dotted with café terraces and restaurants, make it an ideal place for walking and relaxing.
On Tuesday mornings, the market gives Paimpol back its animation of yesteryear. Stroll around Place du Martray then stroll through the Latin Quarter. Alleys, squares, shipowners' residences and pretty half-timbered houses from the 15th and 16th centuries testify to the past prosperity of the region.
Every two years, in August, the port of Paimpol hosts the sea shanty festival, a festive and friendly event dedicated to sea shanties and old boats.
